JBL Trip

Visor Mount Portable Bluetooth Hands-free Kit

Drive safe, drive smart with this portable Bluetooth handsfree kit.

Drivers today are faced with many concerns over safely using a smart phone in the car. State laws, lease agreements and simple operational contribute to the decision making process. The JBL TRIP is designed with all of these factors in mind. HARMAN’s exclusive Voice Cancellation technology allows for crystal clear phone calls even with road and wind noise in traffic. Navigation and ADAS apps like iONRaod wirelessly, send safety and turn prompts via Bluetooth; simultaneously, the driver can easily listen to their factory radio for local newscasts or traffic updates. Because the conversation doesn’t stop when you park, the TRIP is also designed to be portable. It quickly attaches to the visor in a rental car or can be taken into the hotel room, kitchen or office to continue working. Built with JBL’s sound heritage, it’s just as comfortable as a Bluetooth speaker as and can keep the music playing for up to 8 hours before a charge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands Free it's the LAW I purchased one for my Daughter for Christmas because her vehicle does not have Bluetooth, she loves the Trip. My other daughter wanted one also so I got her one for her birthday. The laws in Georgia are strict for no phone use. The trip is not only to use the phone it connects with Siri and can send Texts and E-mails so its the perfect thing for your bluetoothless vehicles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little Speaker, Powerful Sound I bought this as a Christmas gift and I'm so glad I did. The speaker is so loud it's like having a studio in your car. Compared to other wireless Bluetooth speakers, the sound from the JBL trip is crisp and sharp. It is small enough to carry anywhere and has an excellent battery life. I also like that it comes with a visor mount so your speaker doesn't interfere with your driving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands free travel with ease. Great product. For once my mother didn’t say I can’t hear you talk into the phone..... which is not so easy while driving. Fantastic sound clarity and easily connected. I own many JBL products and have never been let down. I highly recommend.

Can JBL Trip be connected to a laptop running Windows 8? Mine seems unable to. If it can, may I ask how to do it?

Asked by: bonita27
Yes. It is possible that your laptop simply does not have the necessary/updated drivers to stream audio via Bluetooth. The TRIP does not require any specific drivers. It utilizes the standard Bluetooth Stereo Audio drivers available in most computer. Your best bet is to go into your control panel and find the Bluetooth setup. This setup usually provides a setup wizard and will take you through the steps to install the drivers needed for Stereo Audio.

Thanks for reaching out, Gilbert. The microphone for the JBL Trip is located behind the grille on the side of the buttons in the center. I notice that the Trip seems to handle 2 Bluetooth connections, but will not restore both upon startup. Is there anyway to restore multiple Bluetooth connections automatically?

Asked by: Jay O
Being that the TRIP can only connect one device at a time, there's no way to restore multiple Bluetooth connections automatically upon startup.

Which adapter should i use for charging JBL trip (input and output)? Is it okay if i use USB port for charging? And how long for a fully charge? Thanks JBL

Asked by: Bang Phan
You can use any regular adapter which has a USB port to hook up the charging cable. You can also charge it from your computer or laptop via USB Port. Since the TRIP has a 1200 mAh Lithium-ion battery, charging time would take around 2-3 hours. Please note that the charging time will significantly decrease if you use a charger with higher output (using 2A and above charger, wall outlet).

What are the unit operating tempature below 0 ?

Asked by: vectorw16
As long as you can be sure the units are dry, they won't be harmed. It's not the sub-zero temperature that kills your equipment. It's the temperature changes that condensate water in your electronics.
