HARMAN Celebrates Sponsorship of GRAMMY Awards with New Artist Partnerships, Show Support - 19 April 2015 05:03
HARMAN International Industries is marking its fifth consecutive year as a GRAMMY Awards sponsor with key announcements during the week leading to the 54th annual broadcast on February 12.
“The GRAMMY Awards are a highlight of musical achievement, and our sponsorship symbolizes HARMAN’s commitment to helping the world’s greatest artists deliver a high-quality performance through the sophisticated software and great design expected by music industry professionals with the ease of use fans demand,” said Dinesh C. Paliwal, HARMAN Chairman, President and CEO.
HARMAN has been a sponsor of the GRAMMY organization since 2008, providing audio systems for the award ceremony and telecast. The company’s microphones, headphones, mixing consoles, amplifiers, loudspeakers and systems integration expertise share the stage with the evening’s great musical talents, and are installed at world-class performance venues around the world. HARMAN was honored in 2009 by the Recording Academy with a special proclamation recognizing the company’s contribution to audio technologies.
During GRAMMY Week, HARMAN will:
- Return as a sponsor for the MusiCares event on February 10, which will name 14-time GRAMMY winner Paul McCartney as the 2012 MusiCares Person of the Year. The award celebrates McCartney's exceptional artistic achievements and philanthropic work.
- Introduce a special print advertisement (pictured) depicting a composite image of a GRAMMY award made from more than 15 iconic HARMAN audio products. The ad will be published in the official GRAMMY program distributed during the show and, for the first time, available at retail outlets including Walmart Stores and Barnes & Noble.
- Air a new “Hear the truth” advertisement featuring a legendary rock star Paul McCartney during the GRAMMY Awards broadcast.
- Commence the North American rollout of the Harman Kardon “Beautiful Sound” campaign featuring Jennifer Lopez. The first North American ad will air during the GRAMMY Awards broadcast. The advert has already been shown in Europe – Click to watch Lopez in the European version.
